Campus group looks for alternatives to oil


Biomass is their main source of work. Based on it, the EQ2 research group on the Campus looks for new materials that contribute to improving healthy habits in fields such as food or the advancement of biofuels. Although when they began 20 years ago at the hands of Professor Juan Carlos Parajó, their work focused on alternative processes to the production of cellulose paste. Over time, ‘we are expanding to activities, always around plant biomass’.
